This analog output section contains PXI data acquisition cards that may be used as a signal generator of voltage and current, for a range of applications. Analog output cards, or D/A cards, can be divided into two groups of functionality; Paced and non-paced.
Paced D/A cards, like the PXI 2501 and PXI 2502 are hardware clocked, and commonly have FIFO buffers for fast waveform generation performance.
Non-paced analog output boards like the cPCI 6208 and 6308 series are primarily used to generate slow, but accurate and stable voltage and current signals for automated test and process applications. Output rates can be up to 1kS/s (OS dependent).
