The Amplicon annual transport seminar ‘Network and Monitoring Solutions for Smarter Transport’ hosted on the 28th November 2012, met with resounding success and underlined the Amplicon strategy of increasing awareness of the latest technologies being adopted in the transport market.
The event, which was hosted at the Bluebell Steam Railway, had an agenda packed with interesting talks and product demonstrations specifically tailored for engineers within the transport sector. The day also included a fascinating ride in a unique observation carriage, built in 1913, powered by one of the Bluebell Railway steam engines.
The day followed a theme where each speech covered different stages of a smart transport solution, starting with monitoring, control and data acquisition, followed by resilient wired and wireless communication systems, and back-end rugged computing platforms. The day was neatly concluded by guest speakers IEI Technology, speaking on intelligent solutions based on Intel architecture.
