Automated Test Systems

The Amplicon engineering team has many years of experience in the design and build of turnkey automated test systems based on PXI, cPCI, VXI, LXI and industrial computing technology for a diverse and global marketplace.

Our extensive range of innovative measurement & control products and bespoke rackmount systems, coupled with our engineering expertise in the supply of complex test system requirements means that we can deliver a bespoke solution to meet both complex technical specifications and tight budgetary constraints.

After many years of providing increasingly complex systems to the marketplace Amplicon has com-bined best engineering practice over a range of disciplines, and this combined with a product portfolio that spans networking, data acquisition, bench top test & measurement and high quality rack mounted industrial computers, allows us to design, specify and integrate your test system into a panel or cabinet.

The Amplicon engineering team have been designing and building automated test systems in the UK for the past 10 years; our team of experienced measurement & control engineers are able to support you with product knowledge, system design and customisation as well as post sales technical advice.

Our extensive product portfolio, knowledge of multiple market places and many years of experience in building complex and bespoke systems gives Amplicon the ability to supply test systems that can increase your testing throughput to accelerate time-to-market and achieve a lower total cost of owner-ship.

Using our in house SolidWorks CAD package we can either work from drawings supplied by our customers or offer the service of producing a full drawing package to our client’s requirements.

Producing CAD drawings at the early stages of a project allows both parties to visualise the look and layout of the system and prevent any unforeseen problems, ensuring all equipment and cabling fits.

The Amplicon engineering team is experienced in using and specifying a variety of technologies, PXI, GPIB, cPCI, and LXI, all typically used in ATE (Automatic Test Equipment).

Amplicon is a Tier1 distributor for test equipment manufacturers such as Keysight and Adlink, we are able to pass on pricing benefits to our clients. In addition, our in-house wiring and manufacturing capabilities give a huge advantage to our customers when looking to reduce costs with any new ATE systems.

Our engineering team understand that not all projects are suited to a simple 'off the shelf' solution.

The Amplicon design process ensures that all our solutions are engineered and manufactured to meet the most demanding rugged deployment requirements for reliability, maintainability and upgradeability, as well as the more usual COTS product attributes of high performance, functionality and affordability.

To ensure we meet the highest standards, all of our solutions are manufactured in world class facilities, which are optimised for highmix, high quality and small batch sizes typical of high specification requirements.

Following full functional testing, our products undergo extensive factory acceptance approval to ensure that we find any early component failures or manufacturing defects.

With any build, we can design and manufacture a number of options that include; bespoke cable manufacturing, custom made interface panels, power installation, earth bonding, EMC compliance and system safety mechanisms like emergency stop kill switches.

The Amplicon engineering team can carry out a wide range of EMC and environmental tests which enables them to design and manufacture systems to match your exact requirements. If you need UKAS certification our engineering manager is on hand to guide you and your system through your preferred test house to a successful conclusion.

With any ATE system, software plays a key role with the automation, logging of data and human machine interface (HMI). We pride ourselves to be able to support test software packages like LabView from National Instruments, VEE pro from Agilent Technologies and Visual Basic/C++.

Amplicon has been building and assembling ATE systems for a number of years and we have a vast amount of experience to turnaround builds quickly and cost effectively.

With our experience we can offer a number of options from partial to complete builds. All builds are subject to inspection at every stage to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
