The EtherWAN ED3501 is a cost-effective and versatile ethernet extender. The Etherwan ED3501 can be configured as the local or remote extender by a DIP switch meaning that spares provision is kept simple.
The unit can operate at speeds up to 100Mbps and over distances of 2.2km - please see the datasheet for line rate versus distance table.
The EtherWAN ED3501 must be used in pairs. Alternatively, an ED3501 can be used in conjunction with an ED3541 - a hardened version for harsh environments. This solution is ideal for systems that require only an office grade device at the central location and a hardened extender for field installation eg roadside cabinets, remote works etc.
