Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software is typically used in factory automation or process control applications, to monitor and control plant operations. SCADA generally provides an overview of plant operations and any control may be limited to slow speed operation, leaving real-time control in the hands of PID controllers or PLCs.
