The GX7600 is a compact 9-slot PXI chassis that accommodates both PXI Express and PXI instruments, a PXI system timing slot and an embedded PXI Express controller or PXI Express external bus controller. The Master chassis accommodates a single slot Geotest controller, along with a built-in DVD-RW and hard disk drive. 

Forced air cooling of instruments is provided by two fans located, with another fan provided for cooling the 400W system power supply. The GX7600 Smart chassis supports the monitoring of internal temperature and system power supply voltages, with the ability to provide alarms when limits are reached.
