The GX7000A series are 20-slot PXI chassis that accommodate up to 19 PXI instruments and a PXI controller. They will accommodate a single slot Geotest controller, and include a built-in CD-RW, floppy disk and hard disk drive. The GX7000A series are able to accommodate high performance and high density 6U test instrumentation, while offering the flexibility to use 3U PXI and cPCI instruments as well.

The GX7000A Smart chassis supports the monitoring of internal temperatures and system power supply voltages, with the ability to provide alarms when limits are reached.
