The GX7944 is a single-slot 3U embedded PXI Express controller with Core 2 Duo 2.16GHz processor for use with Geotest's GX7600 PXI chassis. The GX7944 is available with a variety of memory configurations and a full range of peripherals.

The GX7944 PXI controller uses a single slot in a Geotest chassis because all storage devices (i.e. hard disk, floppy disk and CD-ROM drives) are mounted in the chassis, and connected via SATA interfaces. A CompactFlash type I socket is included on the controller.
