Programmable Automation Controller
A Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) is a multi-application platform with on-board processing, capable of high speed data acquisition, real-time logical control, and motion control. It combines the performance of an industrial computer', and the real-time control of a PLC in one measurement and control platform.
The PAC uses a real-time operating system for on-board control, and a Windows CE operating system to run SCADA software and drive the USB and VGA ports. Industry standard PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, instruction list and function block diagrams are used to program the real-time control element.
