Engineering Services In a recent project the Amplicon Engineering Services team took on the challenge to design and deliver a Solar PV demonstration cabinet within just 3 weeks, so it would be ready for an upcoming exhibition!

Lightsource, a high profile company and recently featured on BBC news, contacted Amplicon to design an integrated 19" cabinet that would house all the hardware and demonstrate how much money can be saved using their solar PV system.

ensure your Industrial Wireless network installation is reliable
wireless network services When installing a wireless network, many issues can arise which can prevent the radio frequency signal from reaching all parts of the location. In the industrial sector, Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) is one of the most overlooked pieces of the wireless network jigsaw. This should be top of your list of considerations at the network planning stage; due to the large amount of machinery and high-voltage switching that can be present.

Amplicon will always recommend a wireless site survey before installation of any wireless equipment. A site survey will provide you with full spectral analysis of the surveyed area. This information will help you plan and install a fast and reliable industrial wireless network.

Please see our network services page for further information.

New EtherCAT I/O has arrived at Amplicon
ECAT 2000 Series EtherCAT (Ethernet Control Automation Technology) is a high-performance industrial Ethernet protocol. EtherCAT was specifically developed for the automation industry which requires short data update times with low communication jitter. EtherCAT is currently the fastest industrial Ethernet protocol that can synchronise with nanosecond accuracy.

The ECAT-2000 series from ICP DAS is fully compatible with the EtherCAT protocol and comes with two RJ45 connection ports. Dual RJ45 ports give you flexibility for device installation and will reduce your infrastructure and operation costs. The entire ECAT-2000 series can be deployed in common network topologies such as star, line or ring and all of the inputs and outputs are isolated to protect the units against harmful interference.

The ECAT-2000 series is available with various configurations of inputs and outputs. Please see our website for further information on the modules that are available.
