One of the most common test requirements is to monitor a number of signals such as temperature or voltage, and log the readings to disk. Amplicon can supply PC based data loggers or purpose built data loggers. The latter are typically used for slow sample speeds and low channel counts, and data is off-loaded to a computer for analysis.
The use of a computer for data logging means it can be customised for fast sampling speeds, synchronised sampling or large numbers of input signals. In addition data will be recorded directly into the computer for immediate analysis and action, such as sending an email if the temperature at location x rises too much.
Equipment used in above system:
• Industrial computer
• Data acquisition cards
• Software
• Data logging
Our data logging systems come with simple data logging software, allowing for operation straight out of the box. Alternatively we provide drivers for all popular software languages and programming environments such as LabVIEW and Agilent VEE.
For the more complex data logging systems we include DAPcell server-side disk logging. This is ideal for combining data acquired at several workstations, over a network. It is also useful in a standalone data logging system, as it by-passes system buffers, and thereby increases the transfer speed to the hard disk.
