Speed cameras go digital |
Amplicon were asked to design and configure a fully compliant industrial PC platform that with the appropriate software package would enable the detection of speeding motorists.

System Requirements |
A 19" rackmount PC solution that can be either mounted within a road-side cabinet or networked to a central control room to capture and record speeding motorists on the UK's motorways.
The system can be interrogated by an operator via a local display and keyboard. It also fits into a 4U rack space
The system is designed to meet the current Home Office approvals which require compliance with Class B radiated EMC emissions. As with all government projects, systems are typically required to meet a five year lifetime, this comes as standard with all Amplicon industrial PC's.

solution |
The Ventrix-W is a 19" 4U rackmount PC with a built in 7" screen and pull-out keyboard/trackball allowing an operator to view the captured data. Using an industrial motherboard running a Pentium 4 3.4GHz processor it delivers a design that can be supplied and supported for a period of five years.
Amplicon can apply our EMC expertise to any application providing fully compliant systems with known characteristics that will comply with Class B radiated emissions.
