The LPCI-3488 is a new low profile GPIB controller based on the popular PCI-3488, which it supercedes. It is more compact in order to conform to the low profile MD1 form factor, and comes with brackets for standard PCI and low profile chassis.

Designed for fast bus transfers and maximum compatibility with Test & Measurement instruments, it uses an on-board FIFO to bridge the gap between the slow GPIB bus and the faster PCI bus. Universal PCI keying on the LPCI-3488 allows the board to be used in 3.3V and 5V PCI slots.
