These temperature transmitters accept universal thermocouple or RTD input signals, and output DC current proportional to the measured temperature. Alternatively they can measure millivolts or resistance respectively. Isolation is provided between signal inputs and the output signal which is linearised and compensated for cold junction error (thermocouple model only). The output signal uses the same two wires which provide power to the transmitter. Configuration is fast and easy with a simple DIP switch including upscale or downscale indication of an open circuit sensor
