The ADLINK cPCI-8554 is a CompactPCI card with twelve 16-bit counters (binary or BCD) and one 32-bit timer. This high-speed counter timer and digital I/O board uses the industry standard 82C54 counter chip. The flexible architecture makes it easy to reconfigure; for example up to ten counter/timers can be cascaded to form a 160-bit counter/timer.
