The model 2174 Ethernet extenders work in pairs to transmit TCP/IP data across legacy twisted pair or Co-axial cabling, achieving speeds of up to 168Mbps. They are also capable of extending upon the 100m distance limitation of Ethernet over CATx cable, increasing transmission distances up to 3km. These credentials make the model 2174s ideal for bandwidth hungry applications, such as remote IP voice/video links and LAN extensions. Each unit has a single extender link via a terminal block, RJ-11 or BNC connector depending on your link type, there are also four 10/100Base-TX ports for multiple end device connections.
