Amplicon have partnered with M2M (machine to machine) specialists Wireless Logic, to make the choice of SIM card and tariff a simple one. Amplicon now provide cellular hardware, such as 3G routers and GPRS modems, with a free of charge SIM card. This bundle offers system integrators and end users an easy way to create a reliable M2M cellular network.
Out of the box solution
It couldn’t be easier to configure your cellular hardware with a tailored SIM package.
Whether it is a remote terminated or a remote originated application being employed, there is an out of the box solution available from Amplicon. Bundled with your hardware will be a free SIM card from Vodafone and instructions on how to get started. Once registered and an airtime agreement is completed you will be ready to connect.
The combined expertise of Amplicon’s hardware and Wireless Logic’s knowledge of cellular networks, the customer now has all of the consultancy required to be able to successfully apply cellular technologies. Wireless logic offer a choice between fixed public IP address SIM cards, or fixed/dynamic private IP address SIM cards which use a private APN network service.
Cellular M2M Connectivity
Cellular machine to machine networks allow for devices (transducers, cameras, PLCs etc) to capture an ‘event’ (temperature change, video stream, network failure etc.) which is relayed through a WWAN to an application (software program), that can then translate the captured event into meaningful information (report, alarm, message, etc.).
With cellular networks now providing high data rates over the air, the technology lends itself perfectly towards applications such as IP video over 3G, environmental monitoring, machine maintenance and support, broadband internet backup and many, many more. This simple and cost effective way to talk two-way with remote devices allows communication wherever and whenever you want, stationary or mobile.
