There are thousands of digital I/O, relay and analogue I/O points in a typical BMS network. Most of these connect directly to an outstation or controller sited locally to the device. However, in some applications it may not be possible or cost-effective to install a controller close to a sensor/ actuator. When this is the case, Amplicon's I/O to Ethernet converters can be used to send digital and analogue signals over an IP connection to a remote location where it can be directly integrated into a supervisor or conveniently placed controller.
This means we can send signals over existing Ethernet networks, over a wireless bridge between buildings or even to the other side of the world using the internet.
